Members A's

A photo review of 2018 activities

Only one member brought his Model A to the March meeting.  That is still some snow against the building.  John W. drove his 29 sedan 94 miles from Mass City.  It made any excuses seem pretty weak.  Way to go John!
2018 Spring Banquet. The group got together to visit and discuss  plans for the year.
The door prize table got  lot of attention at the banquet.
Two A's that we can usually count on to show in any weather.  Everyone else chose modern.
Spring monthly meeting at the Iron Industry Museum.  Rick brings in a new Model A all the way from Mass City.  Lots of excitement in the group welcome.
Wilber brings his nice original into the meeting.
Bill is here, early as usual, to get things ready for the meeting.  He's got the coupe cleaned up and ready for the 2018 season.
One of the A's ancestors shows up to hang out with the "new" models.
A nice turnout for the meeting at the museum.
Getting ready to leave on the 2018 Spring Tour.
We're on the road.
Brand new tires and a flat. Two cars experienced flat tires on the trip, the first ones we've ever had on a tour.  It was no problem though, the guys were so fast they could have been on a NASCAR pit crew.  We barely had a chance to step out of our cars and we were back on the road.
A quick stop to regroup, check the maps, and apply a little rainx to the windshields as we looked at some dark clouds ahead.
A short lunch stop during a little rain.  Perfect timing.
A quick refill and on to the final stop on the tour.  The best line of cars the gas station has had under its canopy for a long time.
Judy and Char weren't too sure about the trip at this time but the rain stopped just after the tank was full.
We were back on the road as the last drops fell.  It just washed the dust off.
A local vineyard, the last stop on the tour. All cars still running well.
The spring tour group.  Ready to head home after a very enjoyable day of driving and visiting.
On the road home.   For the majority of the day it seemed the Model A's were the only cars on the roads that had been mapped out.  A very relaxing and enjoyable drive.  All cars completed the round trip for a very successful spring tour.  A big thanks to Jim & Vivian P. for planning, mapping and testing the route.  -- One wrong turn can be overlooked!  A great day.
A super turnout of Model A's for the Annual Negaunee Museum Ice Cream Social and Old Car Show.  Thanks to the Negaunee Museum and all participants for a good show and a great time.
Plan on joining the group for 2019.
A perfect day for a cruise to Skanee for a fish fry. Without a little rain, where would we get the water for the fish?
We made it.
A beautiful spot on the bay.
A great turnout for the fish fry. Some members didn't know what they missed.
The chefs hard at work preparing a variety of fish.
A lot of full and happy people after that meal.  The best fish fry I had for the summer. Thanks Adrian.
A stop at the Baraga A&W for ice cream on the way home.  Thanks to Charlene for arranging a special stop for us.
Ready to head home after a great day. Thanks again for all the work Adrian.
A small turnout of Model A's for the Ontonagon County Fair this year.  This has been a fun cruise day over the last few years.  A good trip to put on your calendar for 2019.  It usually falls on the last weekend in July.
Our youngest member tries out one of the antique tractors at the Ontonagon County Fair.
A variety of old tractors, including some with steam engines, along with other old engines running during the day make the Ontonagon County Fair a fun time.
A small car show and grill out at Teal Lake Assisted Living.  Bob had a chance to talk about his Grandfather's A, that Bob is driving, with family members. Lots of memories shared with the residents.
Bay Cliff visit 2018. The cars are lined up and waiting for a visit from the campers as we dine with them.  They are always an enthusiastic group of youngsters.
The campers were excited to see the old cars and visit with us.  They always have a lot of questions.  The Bay Cliff trip has been a very enjoyable yearly trip for the Superior A's.
A beautiful fall day and a nice turnout of cars for a fall meeting at the Cliffs Shaft Museum.
Lots of interest when a newly acquired "32" with local history related to Henry Ford shows up for the meeting.
The final meeting of 2018 - a soup buffet.  It was hard to decide which soups to try with this line of options. Thanks to the ladies for arranging the meal and everyone who contributed soups, breads, or desserts to wrap up another good year.
Visiting with friends while enjoying the delicious meal.
A fair turnout of Model A's for the last gathering before winter.  A cold rainy night for driving. The next destination is probably winter storage.
